The Office of Institutional Research will post a calendar of scheduled surveys that may be viewed on the OIR Qualtrics User Guidelines. This schedule includes institution-wide surveys (e.g., SEIs, University climate surveys, graduate student annual surveys) and exclusion survey times (e.g., final exam weeks). If the request is for survey distribution to UL Lafayette students, it is essential to review the calendar in order to avoid conflict with previously scheduled University surveys or critical learning times.
The use of the survey calendar minimizes the occurrence of survey/email fatigue and oversampling of students, faculty, and staff by managing the quantity of survey invitations to these populations. Referencing the calendar to determine low survey distribution times may allow the researcher to select a time that will provide ideal response numbers.
Anyone requesting approval to administer a survey should consult the survey calendar before submitting the survey request via the Data Request Form.
